ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY: ISSUES FOR THE FUTURE
The environment and safety are two factors which are becoming increasingly important in today’s world. That is why the Delisle group has decided to take these issues into account and has already made commitments accordingly.

With regard to the environment,
QHSE commitments | environment & safety By signing the CO2 Charter with ADEME in 2011, the Delisle group officially made a commitment to reduce its CO2 emissions.

All of our vehicles have therefore been limited to 85 km/h and training in rational and economical driving is regularly conducted with drivers to reduce their fuel consumption. Each vehicle is equipped with an onboard computer which analyses the way in which it is driven point by point, enabling rational driving to be further optimised.

In addition, truck purchases are also made with environmental needs in mind. In 2012, the group acquired 100 tractors complying with the EURO 6 standard, vehicles which are far more environmentally friendly because they are equipped with engines which consume less diesel and generate far less particle pollution.

As regards semi-trailers, each tanker, dumper and taut liner used is approved for 44-tonne transport, thus reducing the proportion of CO2 emissions per tonne transported.

Lastly, the Delisle group carried out its “carbon audit” in 2011, enabling it to determine other areas in which it can still make improvements in terms of reducing its pollution emissions.

With regard to safety, QHSE commitments | environment & safety The Delisle group has decided to replace its vehicles regularly in order to comply with changing safety standards. These vehicles are chosen according to precise criteria corresponding to the specificities and requirements of our customers.

All vehicles are covered by a direct maintenance contract with the manufacturers, which, in addition to greater reliability, ensures better follow-up and a better guarantee of the maintenance thus carried out.

Drivers are regularly made aware of and trained in the need to adopt a smooth and flexible driving style to guarantee their safety and that of the goods entrusted to them.

Drivers and operators are also systematically trained in the correct use of their working tools and constantly made aware of the need to comply with safety rules. Our team of instructors regularly checks that these rules are properly applied.
